Photography!
What a lovely topic. Everyone takes photos, at the least once in a while. For some - as in my case - it has become a passion.
I take photographs!
Of landscapes, cityscapes, nature, portraits and lately also fashion or fashion-like photographs.
The latter I call 'style'. Style is a more broad term in which I think of pictures that, do not necessary emphasize a particular item, but more shows a
certain style in the image. Taking these kind of pictures are very different from, for instance, landscape photography. Landscape photography can often
be a one man job, but if you show people in fashion/style photography, a makeup artist/stylist is a 'must have'. You'll also find that an assistant is a
luxury you almost cannot be without either.
Photography is very diverse, and the digital world we live in, indeed makes photography even more diverse, since it has become very easy for everyone to
become a reasonable photographer. This put some demand on all of us trying to make photographs that stand out. Or should I say pictures?
Today photographs are easily manipulated to a degree that one may question if the image can be considered as a photograph. Despite I call myself a
photographer, I do manipulate some of my photographs in order to give the viewer a different experience.
My interest is fashion/style and portrait photography as well as landscape/cityscape/nature photography. They are very different, but each variation is
exiting in their own right.
I live with my wife and daughter on Seeland at the town Køge in Denmark. Not far away from Copenhagen and close to the nature. So my most valuable things are all within my reach. Wonderful!
